Fall 2013

Halloween was a blast this year! We took Camden to the pumpkin patch in Farmington and he loved running around looking at "conkins", riding on tractors and running through a hay maze. We ended up buying a few pumpkins and carving them a few days before Halloween. On Halloween night we spent some time at both sets of grandparents houses so they could see Camden in his costume. Ilene and I took Camden trick-r-treating around their cul-de-sac, because he was sick Camden didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped, but he did get lots of candy, and that's where his candy addiction started. For lunch on Halloween day we were able to meet up with Cody and Kim for lunch. Cody had class that night and wouldn't be able to see Camden in his costume on Halloween. So lunch so the best we could do. Kim showed us around his office and, like a very proud grandpa, introduced Cam to all of his co-workers. All of which gave him candy. It was so fun!

We dressed Camden up as a cute little owl! Our friends Michael and Lauryn threw her annual Halloween Party with a Harry Potter theme. I helped a bit, but the credit goes to Lauryn for always being the greatest party planner there ever was. Camden's cute owl costume went with the theme, Cody was Ron Weasley, and I was Professor Trelawney. It was a good time with good friends!

Thanksgiving this year was spent with Cody's side of the family. Valerie hosted forty-something people her in brand new home and she did amazing! Everything turned out so great. I worked really really hard on providing the deviled eggs. Whew. We all had a great day! Is there really anything better than a day that consists of celebrating just by eating? I think not. After appetizers, dinner, and dessert, we went to my Aunt Mollie's house for even more dessert with my side of the family. It was Aunt Mollies first holiday since moving here from California. She hosted the Thanksgiving feast and did a great job!

We had such a fun Halloween and Thanksgiving...we are looking forward to Christmas!!
