March 2nd was my birthday!
Turning 22 really makes me feel old! I still feel like I'm only 18!
I spent the day with my wonderful cousin Kayla. We went to our favorite little bakery, The Bun Basket! The cheesy potato soup is to die for! My mouth is watering just writing about it! The soup is not the only amazing dish on the menu, the cinnamon rolls, cookies, bread, and sandwiches are all just as delicious! (I'll quit advertising for The Bun Basket now, it's making me hungry.) We spent some time in the little home decor store that is next door and imagined what it would be like to have lots of money to just waste on decorations... we can dream! We ran around and just spent the day together! It's never boring with Kayla. She is unlike anyone else, and I love her for that!
Cody got home from work and brought me a gift! AND, he let me cut his hair! Which if you know Cody at all, you know that it is a pretty big deal! What love will do to ya, huh? He even let me style it before we went out! He's such a stud!
That night we went out to Red Robin. I rounded up my group of friends and we had a good time. I don't know what Red Robin does to their fry sauce, but it is seriously my favorite. It's always fun to get the old high school gang back together! I automatically revert back to my immature goofy self and it's always a blast!
Saturday night Cody's family took us out for my birthday dinner! We went to Banditos. This time I strayed from my usual pick of the Sweet Pork Burrito and I was pleased with my choice. Chicken Enchiladas. Yum! (Yeah, don't worry, I might have gained like 20 extra pounds just from this weekend. Just what I needed...)
Sunday we hung out with my family. My mom made her Chicken Tacos and we went to Baskin Robins for some ice-cream. I guess everyone knows the way to my heart...food! (How sad!) It was a relaxing day. The perfect way to end my birthday weekend! I'm thinking that I am going to enjoy being 22!
Thank you everyone who made my day so special!
I couldn't have had a better day! :)
